The project is directly linked to the ideas that made us the winners of the FutureBuilt competition «A city to live in», a couple of years ago. The winning project managed to combine climate efficiency with a compelling urban planning strategy, the jury wrote at the time, and the competition was about climate-neutral urban development of the center of Strømsø. The ambition was for Strømsø to be a laboratory for planning and designing the sustainable city of the future and developing a sustainable lifestyle.
Our plan proposal ensures that principles from the competition are entered as premises, including green connections, "veiter", through the district.
Strømsø is an exciting neighborhood undergoing transformation and we look forward to the continuation.
